Three months after filing for divorce, Billy Ray Cyrus and Firerose have finalized their divorce.
Daily Mail According to reports, Firerose will not receive any alimony, but Billie has agreed to pay her credits and royalties on songs they made together during their relationship.
Billy Ray’s lawyer said in a statement: Us Weekly“Last Friday, the parties reached a settlement agreement in mediation to end their seven-month marriage, and this morning the court sentenced the parties to divorce. Ms. Cyrus is relieved to be free from this nightmare.”
“Further, several weeks prior to mediation, Ms. Hodges legally changed her last name from ‘Hodges’ to ‘Cyrus,'” they added. “Mr. Cyrus feels this supports his assertion that his ex-wife’s only motivation for marrying him was to obtain his last name.”
Seven months after their marriage, Billy Ray filed for an annulment, citing “irreconcilable differences” and “inappropriate marital conduct.”

A source close to Cyrus told People magazine that Cyrus ended her marriage because Firerose “is not the person she thought she married.”
She added, “He believes she married him for reasons other than love. He believes he married her to provide for her financially. There was money drama and trust issues between them.”
They got married in October.
He wrote on Instagram: “October 10th, 23rd will forever remain as the beautiful and joyous day when our two souls were united in holy matrimony. It was the most perfect and fantastical celebration of love we could ever imagine.”
Alongside a series of wedding photos, Cyrus added: “When we heard the pastor say, ‘Billy Ray and Firerose Cyrus… I declare you husband and wife,’ it was a sacred moment of our new beginning in eternity. May the love last forever! ️”
In 2022, rumors of an engagement between the two surfaced.
It’s not clear when Billy Ray and Firerose began their romance, but they collaborated on the song “New Day” in 2021.
