Taylor Swift certainly appears to be part of Blake Lively’s legal war story with Justin Bardoni.
TMZ Baldoni’s lawyer Bryan Freedman reports that he summoned Swift as a star witness in the case.
In response to the summons, the pop superstar rep told TMZ:
The person in charge said, “Taylor’s connection to the film allowed him to use one song from “My Tears Ricochet.” Given that her involvement was licensed for the film song, this documentary summon, which was also made by 19 other artists, is designed to use Taylor Swift’s name to draw public interest by creating tabloid clickbaits instead of focusing on the facts of the case. ”
Lively’s lawyer Mike Gottlieb recently discussed the possibility that Swift and Hugh Jackman would be summoned due to their close relationship with Blake and Ryan Reynolds.
Gottlieb told People Magazine: “The allegations and defenses in any of these celebrities are completely unknown. This is a case of what happened to Blake Live when they raised allegations of sexual harassment on set. It’s not a case of how the song was chosen for the film.
He continued, “You have to ask questions. And why are these people summoned? Do they have an actual connection to the incident at hand? You can’t just summon people because you are famous and you think it generates a lot of headlines.
A few months ago there was a report that Swift could abdicate in the incident.
Freedman told TMZ’s Harvey Levin and well-known lawyer Mark Geragos: “I don’t know if Taylor Swift will be resigned. I think it will probably be a time-of-game decision. I don’t know that decision was made, but I can tell you this.
In Bardoni’s lawsuit, he came to life and accused her husband Ryan Reynolds of fear, loss of honor and invasion of privacy. Justin also claims he tried to destroy his career with false allegations of sexual harassment.
The complaints included countless emails and texts between Bardoni and Lively.
Bardoni also insisted that he wanted to gain more control over the script and film editing.
In a section related to Taylor, Justin claims that Blake had “summoned” him to the New York Penthouse, where Reynolds “started to have a passionate praise” with a version of Blake’s scene. Later that same night he insisted that “famous and famous intimate Reynolds and live friends entered the room and began to praise Lively’s script as well.”
Bardoni later told Blake, “You’re really all-out talent,” claiming that Blake would have “feeled like that without Ryan and Taylor.”
In response, Blake praised Ryan and the edited celebrities for being her “dance mom” level stage mom.
She later said, “If I could go around looking around ‘Game of Thrones’, I’d be grateful that I’m a boyfriend, and like her, I happen to have some dragons. Usually good or bad.
Baldoni’s legal team also posted a 168-page timeline document on the website, claiming that Lively took the film “It It Endy” hostage with Swift’s song “My Tears Ricochet.”
Justin’s lawsuit was denied after Blake filed a legal complaint with California’s Civil Rights Office, alleging that Bardoni sexually harassed her on set. She also sued Justin and his PR team for sexual harassment and “merciless” retaliation.
The Lively and Baldoni cases are set for trial in March 2026.
