Forty-two years ago, Ronald Reagan stood in the ballroom in Orlando, Florida, encouraging countries against the evil empire and “encourage them not to remove themselves from the struggle between good and evil, good and evil.”
There have been many changes over the past 40 years, but the threat to freedom-loving countries has grown.
We still exist in the world of freedom-loving countries like us who support democracy, human rights and economic freedom, such as Russia, China, North Korea, Iran, Cuba, Venezuela and other countries that abuse and abuse the will and God-given rights of our citizens.
On May 9th, Vladimir Putin and Xi Jinping stand together in Red Square to celebrate Russian troops and celebrate their victory in World War II. Countries that support democracy, freedom, or free trade should not stand with Putin and XI, so pay attention to those present.
Trump says he made a “productive” call with Türkiye’s Erdogan about the Russian-Ukurein War.
Putin’s Russia is one of many evil forces that seek to exploit the citizens and the world. It is no secret that Putin is actively working to reconstruct his global powers into what he saw in the Soviet era. Xi Jinping and the communist China pursue global domination through economic control that transforms profits and influence into spy and genocide. Iran is seeking power by openly supporting terrorist groups like Hamas and the Houtis to kill innocent people, attack Israel, target American ships, and disrupt trade. Recently, there is a North Korea that has supplied troops for Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, the unlawful Maduro regime in Venezuela, and the regimes in Cuba and Nicaragua, which share global views. Although some countries, like Hungary, pretend to be consistent with the US, they act to remain on his good side by supporting Putin and protecting Russia from EU sanctions. All of these powers work with the US and our partners, and our hemisphere partners act as agents of Russia, China, Iran and others.
Then there are countries that love Putin, XI, and the world’s freedom to stand together against these evil regimes as we protect our freedom and our way of life. There is a clear distinction between these groups: good and evil.
A few years ago I warned that Communist China had begun a new Cold War with the United States. I spoke about the dangers of thinking that China and our enemies would operate within the modern world order. I called on my allies to recognize this threat. We also urged our government to demonstrate America’s strength and resolve and demonstrate a new commitment to allies in freedom as we worked to contain the growing scope of communist China, Russia, Iran and more. Under President Trump’s first administration, we did.
I was not optimistic that the Biden administration had the courage or desire to fight invasive dangers. What arose during his presidency proved me right.
Our enemy saw the weaknesses of Joe Biden and his administration and they made the most of it. These evil nations seized every opportunity to demolish the interests and security of our United States and our allies, burning fear and evil all over the world, including the invasion of sovereign states.
President Trump has inherited the chaos, but he is working diligently to reverse Biden’s miserable course and reestablish the United States as a beacon of global strength, sending a clear message: the United States is back. We support freedom, democracy, and fair play, and to oppose it is against us.
President Trump is already moving to crack down on communist China’s abuses. He and Secretary of State Marco Rubio acted to strip Venezuelan dictator Nicolas Maduro of all the resources he was using to power them from all the resources he was using, putting maximum pressure on Iran to stop him from obtaining nuclear weapons. They also reversed the risky settlement of the Biden administration and the possibility of the Cuban administration. President Trump has seen him bring peace to Ukraine, maintain Putin’s sanctions and put pressure on him by intimidating him. He also opened the door to future military aid in Ukraine.

On my recent trip to Finland, Estonia and Denmark, I met with allies on the frontlines defending us from Russian invasions and saw the benefits of President Trump pushing his NATO allies to contribute more and more to his defense. These three countries are leaders who respond to President Trump’s call and meet and exceed NATO’s minimum defense standards. Even Germany has revitalized its troops by sending troops to protect Lithuania’s borders, but it has only achieved its first GDP target in almost 35 years. Unfortunately, they are not alone in this. The United States is willing to protect our allies, but we cannot do so if they do not want to protect ourselves.

This showdown between good and evil is determined not only by traditional military action, but also by economic battles. We must strive to end policies that implement strategic sanctions and fund the harms that provide for the enemy with money and economic strength. We must make our enemy a global pariah and our economy crippled. Otherwise, the US and our allies are not safe.
The United States will always be on the side of freedom and democracy. It is not only a noble battle, but an essential battle. And we are always against those who we want to be destroyed. I’m watching as I’m revealing which side all countries are coming on May 9th in Red Square.
