TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA) — Want to travel from Tampa to Germany? Now you can!
Starting this week, Discover Airlines will operate daily nonstop flights between Tampa International Airport and Frankfurt.
The Lufthansa Group airline began operating to Germany in 2021, initially flying four days a week, before adding a fifth day a week and recently switching to a daily operation.
According to Tampa International Airport, more than 210,000 people have used the route since it opened.
Currently, economy class tickets to Frankfurt range from $765 to more than $1,300, with cheaper tickets coming in the fall, and higher fares for business class, first class and premium economy class tickets are also available.

“Don’t miss this chance to explore one of Germany’s most interesting cities,” Lufthansa’s website states. “Visit the Dom Cathedral or the Iron Bridge and witness some of Europe’s most incredible architecture. Take a stroll along the beautiful River Main or explore one of the city’s many fascinating museums. Don’t forget to end the day with delicious German cuisine and fine, locally brewed beer.”
