A delivery driver saw Rep. Greg Steube (R-Florida) jump 25 feet off the ladder at his home and called 911 for help, according to audio of the call obtained by . rice field. Fox 13 Tampa Bay.
In an emergency call lasting about 13 minutes, driver Darrell Woody reported that Steube was awake but “bruised” with multiple injuries to his body, including his arms and back.
Steube was reportedly cutting a tree branch on his Sarasota property after the branch hit his ladder and fell 25 feet to the ground. Woody, the Republican Florida Byrne, who is also a field representative for Congressman Buchanan, said he saw the fall on the dispatcher.
The congressman is expected to recover, but his team said he spent Wednesday night in ICU with “several serious injuries” that were not life-threatening. .

According to an update on Steve’s Twitter account, “All glory to God for his healing.
Woody said he went to Steube’s house to congratulate him on his recent election victory, but instead saw the fall. He said he didn’t think anyone was home.
At various times during the call, you can hear Steube asking what happened in the background. Woodie said the dispatcher seemed “dazed” to Stuebe.
He continued to talk to the dispatcher on the phone until the first responders arrived.

The congressman, who was reportedly prone on the ground, was able to help Woody locate his phone and unlock the gate for first responders. An ambulance arrives within minutes.
On Wednesday, Steube’s team tweeted that he was “making progress” and “doing well.”
“We would like to thank the individuals who witnessed the fall and called 911 immediately, and Sarasota County Emergency Services for their prompt response and transportation,” the tweet read.

The 44-year-old congressman serves Florida’s 17th congressional district. The district includes suburbs of Sarasota and Fort Myers through the Everglades.
Steube was elected to the House of Representatives in 2018 and is just serving his third term on the Capitol. She served three terms in the Florida House of Representatives and until 2018, she served two years in the Florida Senate.
