After two decades of friendship, and as someone who briefly served as a member of Mrs. Trump’s White House team, I am thrilled that the former first lady will finally tell her story in her upcoming book, Melania. Because of this, many self-proclaimed “experts” continue to give their opinions on what she thinks, says, and does, especially when many of them have obvious malice in their hearts and are thinking about money. I can’t keep quiet anymore.
The Trump-hating media-industrial complex is primarily a money-making endeavor, attracting the desire of many to stay relevant, become famous, advance personal goals, and make as much money as possible.
Mrs. Trump’s response to all of this—she ignores all but the most egregious attacks—is that she is a woman of tremendous strength, grace, and resilience, a loving and devoted woman. This is no surprise to those who truly know her as a mother, wife, daughter, and friend.
Melania Trump talks about her relationship with her husband and what prepared her to become first lady
Their vitriol is likely to intensify in the coming days ahead of the Oct. 8 publication of Mrs. Trump’s memoir, “Melania.” But I remain hopeful that with the publication of this book, the public will finally have the opportunity to learn her story firsthand and understand this amazing woman that I am so lucky to call my friend.
In my role as one of Mrs. Trump’s advisers in the White House, I was in many rooms and witnessed many moments that have since been largely rewritten in books, tweets, and interviews with former staffers. The discrepancy between the truth I witnessed and the widely publicized distorted narrative.
Consider the ongoing rants of one of her former staffers and a self-proclaimed best friend who has since worked tirelessly to promote himself while bashing Melania. After her contract with the White House ended (full disclosure: my contract with the White House ended at the same time), she wrote an unsolicited book about her former boss. She admitted that she secretly recorded a private phone call with Mrs. Trump, who was then first lady. An unprecedented violation of trust and decency, if not ethics.
Melania Trump on why 2024 election will be different: ‘We’re dealing with more danger’
Moreover, after leaving the White House, she launched a campaign criticizing Mrs. Trump at every turn, apparently to sell her book but also to settle some imaginary personal score. But there was. Like other former Trumpians, she apparently positioned herself as the go-to expert on a woman she hasn’t spoken to in more than seven years.
Take a look at Melania Trump’s ongoing hateful tweets, including her opinion on why she didn’t join her husband on the campaign trail last fall. When Mrs. Trump told reporters she wanted people to “pay attention” to her campaign plans, the former staffer predictably chimed in with a tweet that seemed omniscient. “Let me interpret this. Don’t hold your breath!” [sic]”
How, exactly, could she have known that, or anything else about the former first lady? She was clearly out of the loop, and at the time Mrs. Trump was caring for her dying mother. I didn’t realize it was there. So much for expertise.
Melania Trump opens up after husband assassination attempt: It was ‘truly a miracle’ that they both survived
What’s more, Mrs. Trump’s former White House press secretary appears to be vying to become a left-wing expert on Melania. This was after he wrote a self-aggrandizing book attacking his former boss while auditioning for a “conservative” spot on ABC’s “The View,” which is definitely not Trump.
The former “insider” embarrassingly asked reporters why the first lady was wearing the now-famous designer ZARA’s bold logo jacket in 2018, asking, “Do you really care?” This is the same person who couldn’t explain it correctly. —On a plane visiting migrant children detained at the Texas border. “This is just a jacket. There was no hidden message,” the spokesperson told reporters.
How did she not know that the first lady was intentionally sending a signal to her critics with that jacket and didn’t mention her children? And if she didn’t understand Mrs. Trump at all when she worked for her, how can she consider her an expert now that she hasn’t had any contact with Mrs. Trump in years? Can you do it?
It took the former first lady herself to clear up the mess and repair the damage. Melania Trump told an ABC News interviewer that the jacket was “a kind of message” aimed at her critics, adding: “I want to show them that I don’t care. . You can criticize whatever you want, but it’s directed at the critics.” It won’t stop me from doing what I think is right. ”

Sadly, positive coverage of Melania Trump’s accomplishments has been limited, as the important initiatives she undertook and supported during her four years as first lady and in the years that followed were rarely acknowledged or recognized. It was hardly seen.
As first lady, she sought to draw attention to the opioid crisis and its toll on families during a visit to Lily’s Place, a treatment center in Huntington. west virginia. She championed Be Best, a campaign aimed at increasing children’s wellbeing and emotional intelligence in education, including tackling cyberbullying in schools.
Since leaving the White House, she has started Fostering the Future, which raises money for college scholarships for former foster children. Since its founding, the Society for Nurturing the Future has provided scholarships to many students. You’ve probably heard very little about it.

When it comes to consuming news, like any other commodity, the old adage “buyer beware” has never been more relevant. It is essential for media consumers to approach political information with a critical eye, seek out reliable sources, and question the credibility of self-proclaimed experts. If we don’t, we may discover that our very freedom and way of life has actually been for sale all along.
As a wise man once said, “Consider the source.”
