Wendy’s Crayola kids’ meal toys are hugely popular

One Wendy’s customer said he specifically ordered a kids’ menu item in hopes of receiving one of these collectible toys, opting for a pricier order that essentially equates to the restaurant chain’s $5 Biggie Bag perk, but didn’t get the toy.
In a video posted by TikTok user Kaitlyn (@kaitlingonzo on TikTok), she was given a Wendy’s bag containing the kids’ meal she ordered, only to find it was missing. Toys she wanted to seeWhen she asked the cashier at the counter where the toys were, she was told the location was currently out of toys.
“So, is this all it comes with?” she asked the salesperson. “So, this is basically like a biggie bag, right? I wish I’d bought the biggie bag.”
When the employee read her order aloud, the poster stated that the order was the same as another menu item and that she should receive a refund because she had specifically ordered it to receive a toy that was not available.
“Can I get a few dollars back?” she asked an off-camera employee. “This is like a biggie bag now. Instead of $7.90 without the toy, it’s like $5.”
In a reply to the comment, Caitlyn wrote that she had indeed received a refund for the difference.
In text overlaid on the video, the poster clarifies that he didn’t record it because he thought something bad was going to happen, but simply wanted to show off the toy he was looking forward to.
“This is so petty,” the text overlay reads. “I was recording because I was excited to see the Wendy’s crayon toys. But I’m tired of always getting such bad service when prices are so high. You should have told us when ordering that there were no toys. Stop charging us extra for toys that you don’t have. Sorry. We ordered a Jr. Bacon Cheeseburger and a 4 piece Nugget Kids Set. This is a $5 Biggie Bag.”
In the video’s caption and in response to comments, Caitlin emphasizes that the biggest problem was that the staff didn’t tell her in advance that they had run out of children’s meal toys.

Many viewers shared her frustration that restaurant employees did not inform her in advance that the toy she ordered would not be available before she paid for it.
“No, this is a fact. They should have let us know the toys were sold out,” one commenter wrote.
“The toy is included in the price so there should have been a discount,” added another user.
“When ordering from the kids menu you have to tell them no toys,” a third said. “So they want them!!”
