On-demand rides will be made from SEPTA to suburban Philadelphia to minimize gaps in bus service in parts of Bucks, Chester, Delaware and Montgomery counties.
Passengers can call to request a lift and see when a driver can arrive. SEPTA says he has a 30 minute response time from the first request.

Zone-based services allow riders to travel between points within a zone. Each zone has at least one fixed-route bus connection to reach the regional transfer hub.

SEPTA provides “curb-to-curb service, not door-to-door service.” This means riders may have to walk to the nearest intersection.
How do I schedule my ride?
SEPTA says passengers can request a ride via a mobile app or by calling a call center. Depending on the software the transit agency acquires, passengers may be able to schedule rides in advance or create recurring bookings.
What will the bus look like?
According to SEPTA, the on-demand service uses small buses with ADA access and bike racks. Depending on your needs (get it?), the number of people you ride with will vary.
Why is SEPTA launching this service?
The plan is part of SEPTA’s ‘Bus Revolution’, which aims to make the entire bus system a better service for riders.
The transport agency hopes to better serve suburban passengers by using resources more efficiently. According to SEPTA, many suburban bus routes now operate no more than once an hour and only six days a week.
