After 7 seasons, “Young Sheldon” comes to a close with a grand finale!
Extra’s Mona Kosar Abdi caught up with star Ian Armitage to talk about the hit series’ emotional ending.
Mona said, “Looks like we’ll have to get tissues out,” and he agreed, “That’s right.”
Ian said of the finale: “It’s definitely bittersweet, because as much as I love doing this, knowing it’s coming to an end is pretty crazy.”
Kosar Abdi said the show will likely stay with him forever. he quipped: “I don’t want to break free from the oppressive chains of being on the number one rated sitcom for seven years. It’s been great and it’s an honor.”
The finale also means cameos from Jim Parsons and Mayim Bialik, who played Sheldon on The Big Bang Theory.

“It’s kind of crazy talking to him now that he’s a little older,” Armitage said of working with Parsons, adding, “He’s a great mentor.”
Mayim Bialik from “Big Bang” will also appear. Ian said: [Jim] It was wonderful to work with Mime on set. ”
The final two episodes air tonight on CBS and then on Paramount+.
