ExclusiveBlue Fox Entertainment acquired North American rights from StudioCanal. Wake upa horror thriller from filmmaking trio RKSS (Turbo Kid) is scheduled for release in the US and Canada later this year.
The film, which recently premiered at Austin’s Fantastic Fest, follows a group of young activists who plan to make a statement about the environment by destroying a closing-down Home supermarket. But their plan goes awry when they become trapped inside the store and have to face off against a crazed security guard with a terrifying passion for primitive hunting. As the night fills with violence and terror, the young people find themselves in a desperate fight for their lives.
Alberto Marini (Retaliation) wrote the screenplay, and Laurent Bodens (We are zombies) and Gaël Nouaille (Spoiled child) is producing for Borsalino Productions. Cast members include Tarlo Convery (Black Mirror), Benny O. Arthur (Django), Jacqueline Moret (Anarchist’s Dream), Charlotte Stoiber (downfall), Aidan O’Hare (My Sailor, My Love), Kyle Scudder (In Love is Again) and newcomers Alessia Yoko Fontana and Tom Gould.
RKSS stands for Roadkill Superstars and is made up of Canadian filmmakers François Simard, Anouk Wissel and Yoann-Karl Wissel, whose first two award-winning films were Turbo Kid and Summer of ’84has been selected by over 100 film festivals, including Sundance and SXSW.

Blue Fox Entertainment’s head of acquisitions, Michael Huntsman, negotiated the deal with StudioCanal’s Marquette.
