There are things in life that cannot be helped, and Yong Shi-ong (Park Ji-hoon) tries to understand that in Season 2 of The Weak Hero Class. This latest Netflix K-Drama film begins with his character moving to a new school. There, there are rumors that he killed a former classmate. Many people know about his history with Su-Ho (Choi Hyun-Wook), who was left in nutrition after his best friend Beom-Seok (Hongkyung).
The deeply inflicted trauma from the incident continues to plague Yong Shi-on. However, things change when Juntae (Chae Min-yeon) reaches out to him for help after being bullied by his classmates. “Do you know Newton’s Third Law? Without action, there’s no response,” Si-Eun advises him.
This causes awakening with Jun Tar, who is against his bully.
What is a “union”?
“The Union” is a delinquent crime group run by Na Baek-Jin (Bae Na-Ra), a high school student who terrorized a nearby school. Having an enemy history from his childhood friends with Baek-Jin, Baku protects the school’s Eunjang High as part of a crime gang. Another scary tough guy, Sungjae (Lee Jun Yong), is Baek Jin’s henchmen, but don’t make the mistake of assuming he is the lowest in the food chain.
As Eunjang is the only school that does not participate in the “union”, gang members choose students from the school and bully them for money. Baku did not beat everyone in the “union”, including their leaders.
“The Union” is run through a bowling alley where Baek-Jin is the manager. Alleys are used to wash money, and the owners are gangs and operate sales. Another important part of “Union” is the Daesung motorcycle where gang members steal motorcycles, scooters and all kinds of bicycles. Repaint the stolen vehicles and change the numbers and parts to prevent them from being sold. But that’s not all. They keep all the lists, make copies of the keys, and steal bikes from the new owner.
The “Union” trades using only cash or burner accounts, so there are no reports of crime. Police are also turning their eyes on it because of the gang influence. High school students are tempted by gangs because they have good pay.
How does Yeon Si-Eun team engage in the “union”?
Baku was once the best friend of Baekjin, who was bullied at school. Baku teaches him how to fight bullies, but Baekjin uses his skills to attack others, choose the wrong path, and eventually becomes the manager of “Union”.
Baek-Jin has a strange obsession with his childhood friend and wants to join Baku in a crime gang. When the latter disagrees, he makes Baku’s life a living hell by chasing after his father and friends. Baku joins the gang and begins to soothe Baekjin, but eventually realizes that he needs to fight back. He publicly challenges the “union” to fight against the condition that Eun Jang joins the gang, but if he wins, Baek Jin “dismantles the union”.
The ending of “Weak Hero Class 2” explained:
Yeon Si-Eun has a tough plan to leak some of the burner account deals and spread rumors that Baek-Jin will run away with money. The money that put together the “union” also breaks them apart, and on D-Day most of their members will be released to the gang. Conversely, Eun-Jang students stand together and fight the gang.
Baku follows Yong Si-woon’s strategy of chasing Baek Jin’s arms and legs, ensuring that his limbs are performed. At one point, it appears that Baek-Jin might win the battle, but the Eunjang students meet the victory with the help of Yeon Si-Eun. They freed themselves from the fear of the “union”, but the most suspicious outcome of all of that was Baekjin’s disappearance after the battle. No one knew where he had gone.

Seong-Je, Baek-Jin’s henchman, is replaced by the gangsters. This time it’s not to deal with kids’ games like bowling alleys. This indicates that the problem is not finished yet. Meanwhile, in a shocking event, it is revealed that Baek-Jin is dead. However, Baku, Yong Shi-ong and their team are shown crying hard at his funeral.
