With the 2024 Tour de France drawing to a close, Tadej Pogacar looks poised to hold off competition from Jonas Vingegaard and Remco Evenepoel to win the yellow jersey for a third time, with the Slovenian set to reap big rewards.
Riders receive bonuses from their teams for their performance on the bike during the Tour, but there is also a large prize purse on offer from race organisers ASO.
Pogacar will take home a huge first place prize for his efforts, but there will also be huge prize money for stage wins, the Spirit Award and mountain points.
Tour de France prize money
The total prize money for the 2024 Tour de France will be 2.5 million euros, with the overall winner receiving 20% of that amount, or 500,000 euros.

Green and polka dot jersey prize money
The winner of the points award for best sprinter and the King of the Mountains will receive a prize of 25,000 euros.

White Jersey Prize
At the end of the Tour, the best young rider (under 25 years old) will receive 20,000 euros.

Other prizes are awarded at the Tour de France. Fighting Spirit Award There will be a cash prize of 2,000 euros on offer, with the winner of the mixed martial arts award receiving 20,000 euros.
The first rider in each stage will receive a prize of 800 euros. Outside category climb600 euros Category 1400 euros Category 2300 euros Category 3 200 euros Category 4 rise.
Each leader Classification General ranking athletes will receive 500 euros, while everyone else will receive 300 euros per day.
The Winner is Souvenir Henri Desgrange The first rider to reach the highest point in the race receives 5,000 euros, and this year it was Pogacar who did so, along with winning a stage and taking home the huge prize money.
The Winner is Team ClassificationThe prize money is decided by the combined time of the three fastest drivers from each team and 50,000 euros will be awarded, with the fastest team on each day also receiving 2,800 euros. This prize money is traditionally shared among the teams.
