After adding four villains, Netflix’s live-action series One Piece has revealed the faces of more new characters. Based on Eiichiro Oda’s Japanese manga and subsequent TV anime adaptation, two of the new cast members joining will take on key roles of naval officers in season 2. The next edition is expected to feature Monkey D. Luffy’s exploits in the Alabasta or Baroque Works arcs.

Netflix has cast Callum Carr of Monarch fame as Smoker, a vice admiral and commander of the G-5 base, while Fear Street star Julia Rehwald will play Tashigi, Smoker’s subordinate and a skilled swordsman who reminds people of Zoro’s childhood friend Kuina.

Additionally, two more characters have confirmed that Season 2 will expand on the Drum Island arc. Newark star Rob Colletti will play Wapol, the main villain and ruler of the Drum Kingdom. Finally, 24 Hours To Live actor Ty Keough will play Dalton, who becomes Luffy’s companion.

Netflix has previously cast Danny Lasker as Mr. 9, Kamrus Johnson as Mr. 5, Jazara Jasrin as Miss Valentine, and David Dastmalchian as Mr. 3 as the main villains of the crime syndicate “Baroque Works.”

One Piece follows the adventures of Monkey D. Luffy and the Straw Hat Pirates as they explore the Grand Line and find the legendary treasure. Season 1 of the eight-episode live-action series covered the East Blue arc from the Romance Dawn arc to the end of Arlong Park.

The release date for One Piece season 2 is unknown.
