“Not me, my cousin. She worked in a household with a 4 year old and a 6 month old. Not live-in but working 12 hours a day, 6 days a week. Both parents were very high ranking executives and multi-time billionaires. She never spoke to or even met her father. The only time she spoke to or saw her mother was during the interview, where her mother’s assistant did most of the talking alone. After that she was not to see or speak to either of her parents, only to talk to the assistant. She was to arrive exactly at 6am and wait in the living room. The assistant would call her and tell her to look after the kids as their parents were out of the house.”
“She cooked meals, taught them, took them to parks and museums and had a huge budget for this on top of her salary. At about 5:45 pm her assistant called her and told her to pack her things and leave through a separate entrance when she heard the front door. Although her parents were cold and aloof, she said her 4-year-old was really sweet and sweet and that she had had a lot of fun with them during the two years she was with them. She also made a lot of money. Her parents and their assistant paid her a weekly salary of $2,000 and bonuses throughout the year. They helped her pay off her car and student loans. Her parents moved overseas and gave her a parting bonus of $5,000, but she never saw them again.”
