For Kaylin Michela Thompson, a “magical” future could involve using her experience at Walt Disney World and other amusement parks to work in public relations in the hospitality industry, particularly in Florida.
She is the daughter of Mr. Peter Michael Thomson and his wife. Her mother’s maiden name was Patricia Eileen Edwards.
At Covington Academy, she was in the national science, social studies, math and English honor societies, served as student pastor, was active in the drama and performing arts programs and was the recipient of an Advanced Placement scholarship.
She has served as a Resident Assistant at SMU, where she is the recipient of the Corporate Communications and Public Relations Board Scholarship and the Second Century Scholarship for Academic Achievement, and has worked as an Undergraduate Research Assistant in the University’s Mathematics Department.
Kaylin has worked with the Disney College Program at the Orlando theme parks and as a communications supervisor at Six Flags Over Texas in Arlington.
