According to MBI, the signing of the memorandum marks the beginning of cooperation between MBI and PGB to strengthen the economic development of Terengganu, and the two parties will jointly assess the feasibility of the two development proposals.
“The development of small hydropower plants using Dungun tributaries is in line with the strategic core of the Terengganu Sejatera Master Plan (PITAS2030), namely strengthening infrastructure, enhancing green technology and controlling the impact of disasters. Yes,” it said in a statement today.
MBI said the power plant project could also be seen as an important renewable energy solution to the challenges of power supply, especially in remote areas.
