Billionaire tech giant Mark Zuckerberg is an unusual person, at least according to many people online. But why do so many people find him strange?

The Meta founder, who dominates services like Facebook and Instagram, has always had a typical nerd personality. These include questionable hairstyles, social awkwardness, and slightly disturbing blank stares.

These traits and more have long led to cynical claims that Mr. Zuckerberg (also known as “Zack” or “The Zack”) is hiding some dark secret about his origins.

One of the defining moments of Zack’s legend came long after he was first accused of being non-human.

While speaking to high school students at Facebook’s headquarters in 2014, Zack was asked how he deals with life’s obstacles, and he fumbled with his answer.

“I have to remind myself that I need to focus and that I need to keep things from bothering me as much as possible, but we’re human and we can be bothered,” Zuckerberg said. “I was human. I’m still human. But, well, I was only speaking about my past self. It’s not like I wasn’t human.”

Naturally, the moment quickly went viral for Zach, who was no stranger to becoming a meme at the time. But if people think Zuckerberg is not human, then what exactly is he?

We’ve all heard of the Lizard conspiracy theory that the world’s ruling class is made up of shape-shifting reptilian aliens bent on world domination.

And unsurprisingly, Zack is one of the many people drawn into this conspiracy theory. In fact, Zack went so far as to completely deny that he was a lizard during a Q&A livestream in 2016.

“Mark, are the claims that you are secretly a lizard true?” Zuckerberg read out the question. “I have to say ‘no’ to that. I’m not a lizard.”

But denial did little to kill the meme.

Rather than Zack being compared to a cold-blooded reptile, the tech stalwart is instead referred to as a bloodless automaton.

Is it a blank stare? Maybe I don’t blink enough? A monotonous voice? Or is it a suspiciously strict stance? who knows. However, Zack has been compared to a robot many times.

The most robotic moment came in 2022 when Zack sat in the Senate. During his testimony, Zach took a sip of water, which didn’t sit well with many people on the internet.

Taking a sip was seen as lifeless and staged, the kind of thing a robot would do trying to pretend to be human.

This moment went so viral that Zack eventually addressed the infamous tidbit. During the performance In the same year, he appeared on the Joe Rogan Experience Podcast. Zack argued that such hearings “are not designed to emphasize the humanity of the subject.”

Either way, the Zuck robot meme lives on.

So if Zack isn’t a lizard or a robot, what else is he? Internet users seem to agree that the only possible answer is an alien.

Just this year, Zak’s alleged extraterrestrial claims resurfaced while he was on a trip to India.

“I can’t accept that Mark Zuckerberg isn’t an alien wearing a skin suit and trying to be human,” one X user wrote.

And of course, we can’t forget when Zac was photographed in Hawaii with an insane amount of sunscreen on his face in 2021.

Zuckerberg later claimed in an Instagram Live chat that he used copious amounts of sunscreen to fool the paparazzi. However, despite applying sunscreen, Zach was still burning.

After all, almost all Zuck memes are made as jokes. Zack is definitely human. At least, we’re pretty sure he is.

But admit it. Deep down we all wish he was something other than human. Because the human Zack is not as interesting as the lizard. And obviously all the money in the world can’t stop you from being awkward. Thanks to the internet, the Zack meme will continue to live on.
