The Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Pillar Training Arc was released a while ago, but there’s already good news for fans: the final chapter of the hit TV anime based on the Japanese manga by Koyoharu Gotouge, “Mugenjo”, will be released exclusively in theaters.

The next story will premiere as an epic trilogy of films distributed worldwide by Crunchyroll in association with Sony Pictures Entertainment. The Mugenjo Arc marks the beginning of the end of Tanjiro Kamado’s story.

The final episode of the Hashira Fusion arc, “Hashira Fusion,” was released on Sunday, June 30. The main storyline was about Tanjiro Kamado and his friends undergoing rigorous training from all the pillars in preparation for the final battle against the Demon Slayer Corps. The season ended on a tragic note with the murder of the Ubuyashiki clan, the founders and current executives of the Demon Slayer Corps.

This event kicked off a long night of confrontation with the main villain Muzan and his Upper Moon Demon Army, which will be explained in detail in the Mugenjo Arc. Due to the explosion at the Ubuyashiki Mansion, all the Hashira are burning with revenge. Their main goal is to continue fighting Muzan until dawn, because only the light of dawn can kill him.

The central story of this anime revolves around the life of Tanjiro Kamado, whose entire family is killed and his only remaining sister, Nezuko, is transformed into a demon. Tanjiro joins the Demon Slayer Corps to find a way to turn her back into a human again.

Release dates for the Demon Slayer trilogy have yet to be announced.
