First impressions of BLUETTI PV350 solar panel – unboxing
What’s inside the box? The box includes a BLUETTI SP350 350W solar panel and one user manual.
It weighs just over 30 pounds (30.6 pounds, or 13.9 kg to be exact).
The panel arrived folded into four in a slim package measuring 35.6 inches wide, 24 inches high, and 2.5 inches deep. (In centimeters, it would be 90.5 x 61.3 x 6.5cm).
When folded, the panel acts as a dedicated carrying case. The built-in case has a sturdy handle on top with a rubberized grip. A carrying case and handle make it easy to move, pack, and store the panel when not in use.

There is a built-in zippered storage bag on the front that can store cables. All of the PV350’s specifications are also printed on the inside of the storage bag, which is very useful when setting up in a remote location without internet access.

The top has two elastic fabric straps that secure the panel and has an easy-snap plastic buckle.

How to set up BLUETTI PV350 panel
To unfold the panel, click and release the two top buckles.
All that’s left to do is unfold the four panels.
Unfolded panel measures 94 inches long x 35.6 inches high (or 240 x 90.5 cm).
Setting up the panel from there is very easy.
Each panel has a 6-inch wide flat reinforced stand with stretchable nylon tape to accurately angle it towards the sun. The integrated stand may have a learning curve the first few times you set it up (yes, knocking the stand down is almost a rite of passage), but once you get the hang of it, it’s easy to keep the panel firmly upright. can.
There are also elastic straps that attach each stand to the panel, allowing you to easily adjust the angle of each stand up to 45 degrees.

Hint! If I had folded up his two stands in the middle first, it would have been easier to just unfold the remaining two panels and set up the stands one by one.
This is what it will look like when all the stands are installed.

BLUETTI states that the optimal operating temperature is 77 ℉ (25 ℃), but the official operating temperature is 14 to 149 ℉ (-10 to 65 ℃).
While I personally hope I don’t use my solar panels at 149°F (wow!), it’s worth noting that the operating temperature is as low as 14°F (or -10°C). Temperatures rarely get that cold here, but sometimes they do, and below that temperature you can’t use your panels effectively. (There’s a good chance it’ll be covered in snow at temperatures here anyway.)
HOW TO CONNECT SOLAR PANEL TO BLUETTI PORTABLE POWER STATION
Thankfully, the BLUETTI 350w solar panel comes with a long power cable.
BLUETTI is quite generous here, allowing you to use cables over 10 feet (3.175 m) long to increase the distance between the panel and the solar generator.

All you have to do is connect the cable from your solar generator and plug the charging cable into the DC input of your BLUETTI power station.
From there, the BLUETTI power station knows that you are using solar input and shows this on the display (of course, what you see depends on your solar generator).
What I really like about the BLUETTI AC180 and PV350 combo is that it has pass-through charging, so you can charge it with solar power while using it to charge other things. In this case, you’re charging your phone via the solar panel and at the same time using the wireless charging pad on top.

I personally love using the BLUETTI app to monitor the performance of my BLUETTI PV350 solar panels without having to sit and look at the power plant display.
Tip: Place the power plant in a shaded area to prevent overheating. You can also easily install it behind the panel itself if you only need to charge it for a day.
Which power plants is the PV350 compatible with?
350w BLUETTI 350PV is compatible with BLUETTI AC200P, AC200MAX, AC300, EB150, EB240, EP500, EP500PRO, and AC500. It is also compatible with other solar-charging power stations with MC4 connectors, such as the BLUETTI AC180.
On its own, this panel reliably delivers 350W of peak power. Reaches up to 46.5V VOC at 37.5V and maximum current of 9.2A. If the wattage of a particular charger is too high, you can also fold half of the solar charger closed and reduce the maximum wattage by half. Use in this manner is not officially endorsed by Bluetti, so use at your own discretion. If you decide to use it this way.
Is BLUETTI PV350 solar panel waterproof?
Curious if your BLUETTI PV350 solar panel can withstand bad weather?
Although it is not completely waterproof, it does have some degree of drip-proof performance. It’s built with rugged panels that are IP65 waterproof certified and designed to handle water splashes thanks to an ETFE coating. Therefore, please note that it is not intended to be left out in heavy rain or submerged in water.
So, can you rely on the BLUETTI PV350 even in a downpour?
The answer is no, but they are designed to withstand light water contact and most light rain.
Keep reading as we delve into other aspects of this panel’s durability and performance.
What is an IP rating?
IP rating Created by the International Electrotechnical Commission to give a standardized rating of the protection of electrical equipment enclosures against liquids and dust.
The IP code has two numbers. The first number represents the degree of dust protection, rated on a scale from 0 (no protection) to 6 (dust does not enter the device).
The second number evaluates protection against liquids and uses a scale from 0 (no protection) to 9 (high-pressure hot water from various angles).
Is it durable?
Want to know about the durability of BLUETTI PV350 solar panels?
Constructed of laminated panels, the surface is made from highly durable ETFE material and is built to withstand wear and tear. Additionally, the surface is scratch-resistant and can be easily cleaned by wiping it with a damp cloth.
So is the PV350 a durable option for outdoor or emergency power needs? Given its construction, it appears well-equipped to handle the rigors of its intended use.
How much power does a 350W solar panel produce per day?
Curious about the daily power output of a 350W solar panel like BLUETTI PV350?
It is rated at 350 watts, but the actual power output can vary depending on a variety of factors, including location, angle, shade, temperature, and panel condition. Performance peaks when the sun is high and decreases in cloudy conditions or when the sun angle is low.
I installed the solar panels on a cloudy day, and when I installed the panels right away, they were immediately providing 179 of the 350 watts of power. This is very suitable when there is a lot of clouds and the panels are not angled directly into the sun.

However, BLUETTI PV350 monocrystalline panels feature a high conversion efficiency of up to 23.4%, which makes them better in low-light conditions compared to polycrystalline panels. It is also equipped with a movable stand to achieve the optimal sunlight irradiation angle.
So, how many kWh does a 350W solar panel generate per day?• Under optimal conditions, you can expect to generate approximately 2.45 kWh of electricity when operating for 7 hours a day.
Want more power?
You can run up to three PV350 panels in parallel to get a whopping 1050W of charging power (or the maximum power a solar power plant can accept via sunlight).
I haven’t been able to personally test this since we only have one solar panel at home right now, but our resident cat mathematician says it’s mathematically sound.

Can I use my BLUETTI solar panel to charge another third-party power plant?
Wondering if you can combine your BLUETTI PV350 solar panel with a third-party power plant?
The answer is yes, but there are some conditions. First, for the power plant he needs an MC4 connector. (Many solar power plants come with adapters, but if they don’t, adapters can be purchased cheaply online.) Next, check the output specifications of your BLUETTI solar panels (350W per panel, or Must be compatible with 36.5V at 9.2A).
So, can BLUETTI PV350 be flexibly integrated with other brands? Under these conditions, it is certainly possible.
Comparison of BLUETTI PV350 and SP350 solar panels
The main difference between BLUETTI PV350 and SP350 solar panels is in the wiring. The PV350 is wired in parallel, while the SP350 uses a series configuration.
This improves the sun tolerance of the PV350’s performance. Additionally, the PV series uses a single waterproof coating to cover all solar cells, while the SP series panels are sewn onto a large untreated canvas.
Who is BLUETTI PV350 foldable solar panel suitable for?
The foldable BLUETTI PV350 solar panel is designed for people on the go. That’s campers, hikers, off-grid builders, river rafters, tailgators, boaters, preppers, remote workers, and more. It can be easily folded and stored, making it ideal for quick setup and takedown when needed, and is also useful in emergencies.
It’s not incredibly light, but it offers plenty of power for its size, and you can use the included stand to adjust it to the best angle of the sun that day. For best results, pair it with a portable solar generator that has enough power to suit your lifestyle.
