South Korean rapper and singer-songwriter G-Dragon has finally revealed his long-awaited plans for his return to the music scene.

Kwon Ji-young, famous as G-Dragon, is scheduled to make a comeback in the second half of 2024.
Soompi, a representative from G-Dragon’s new agency Galaxy Corporation, confirmed the news on Wednesday, April 3, 2024.

The statement reads, “G-Dragon is scheduled to make a comeback in the second half of this year.” “After returning, we will be expanding our activities globally, and as part of that, we are also planning activities in Japan.”
This is their first release in about seven years since the release of their self-titled EP. Kwon Ji Young In 2017.
Furthermore, “Galaxy Corporation’s Japanese branch was established in September last year, before G-DRAGON was scouted,” and explained that it was not initially established for G-DRAGON’s activities in Japan. “Of course, this branch will continue to support G-DRAGON’s activities in Japan in the future,” the statement said.
Last December, the 35-year-old artist parted ways with YG Entertainment after being acquitted of drug-related charges, making headlines around the world. He debuted with the K-Pop boy band BIGBANG and stayed with YG for 17 years.
G-DRAGON’s upcoming comeback will be his first solo release on Galaxy Corporation. The K-pop idol signed an exclusive contract with YG Entertainment after leaving YG Entertainment last year.
He also reportedly announced a collaboration with YOSHIKI, the leader and drummer of legendary Japanese rock band X Japan.
