Sean Lowe was rushed to the ER over the weekend after his rescue dog attacked him.
The former bachelor shared story On Instagram, his wife, Catherine, is by his side for moral support.
The couple adopted boxer mousse about three months ago and had no problems until a few days ago the smoke alarm caused aggressive behavior.
Sean said, “Our family has been going through something quite traumatic over the weekend, and we discussed whether we should share this publicly, but we might come out before that.”

He said on Thursday that he had several friends for a barbecue while Catherine took the kids to the mall. He had the doors and windows open and said, “Some of the smoke from the barbecue started to drift inside and our smoke alarm began to go out.”
Shawn “blows out the smoke” with the rags on the plate, and “the mousse comes out and bites and actively holds your fingers in place.”
Lowe replies “No, Moose,” but the alarm continues, and that’s when Moose begins to bite with his leg.
“He was biting my leg so hard that he actually made a hole in my shoes and that hurt my leg,” Sean said, adding that he said “no” to Moose.
The reality star said, “It means they’re scared or defended when it comes to moments when he shows me his teeth and bites and runs away.
He continued.
At that point he knew he was “bleed badly” and he was “trying to get him out the door.”

Despite putting the moose out, the boxer returned and attacked for a second time. Sean said, “To be honest, I felt like, ‘I’m fighting for my life here.’ ”
After letting him out again, Sean said, “I looked down at my arm.” Laugh then lifted his arm, allowing fans to see bite marks, bruises and stitches.
Pointing to the long, sewn wound, he said, “It was cut so deeply, and I saw that there was probably a few feet of blood flow… my first thought was, “I think the dog might have nicked into the artery.” ”
His friend rushed him to the ER and he got stitches at five or six places on his arm.
The couple also recalled the confusion left at home, including “a literal pool of blood on our floor.”
The incident made Sean “confusing” and “grief” and he knew he could not maintain mousse in the house due to concerns for the safety of everyone.
He spoke to animal control, the adoption agencies that got moose, and the inevitable shelter.
As they were sorting things out, Lowe’s parents offered to pick up the kids so that Sean and Catherine could rest. When they arrive home, Sean is helping to load the kids into the car as Moose leaves and attacks him again!
The wind blows off several doors and allows Moose to escape. “Experience a dog attack requires relating it within 12 hours. “Needless to say, all of my arms were of no use.
Sean continued, “He made a edge on me, just started charging, and attacking me again…and I’m just saying, ‘No, no.” ”
Sean said he could feel the dog “splitting into my flesh,” but he could “stroke him to the ground.” All he knew was, “I’m fighting for my life here.
“I need everything I need to control this dog and I’m 220 pounds,” Lowe added, “If it was someone else, he would have killed my children and wife.”
After holding him down for 10 minutes, the police struggled to control the moose, but the police were able to come and take over.
Of course, the moose was removed from the house at that point.
Sean showed his other injured arm and said he had to go back to the ER to get more stitches.
He was heartbroken and said, “It’s not moose’s fault.
Lowe said he came out on the other side “relatively unharmed” and was grateful, adding, “I hurt my arm for the rest of my life, but I can live with it.”
Sean said, “I play this ‘What’s wrong?’ “The game in my head,” I wondered what would happen if the smoke alarm sounded while Moose was sleeping in bed with the kids.
He ended the video by saying, “We were torn about it, we missed our dog like it went crazy.”
In 2023, the family had to re-hold the bullmastiff after biting then-6-year-old Samuel in the head.
