One airline has an “adults-only” section on some routes for families traveling to avoid the noise of children on board.according to The Hill, Turkish-Dutch leisure airline Corendon Airlines will cater to passengers over the age of 16 seeking a child-free environment. The program will reserve seats on some of the Airbus A350s it uses, the store added. These zones will start in November on flights between Amsterdam and the Dutch Caribbean island of Curaçao.
“This zone on the plane is aimed at travelers traveling with children and business travelers who want a quiet environment to work.” airline press release Said.
If you argue that these zones will also have a positive impact on parents who “don’t have to worry about how their passengers will react when their child gets a little busy or cries.”
Corendon said the zone is physically separated from the rest of the aircraft by walls and curtains, “creating a shielded environment that contributes to a calm and relaxing flight.”
The front of the aircraft will be used to create an “adults-only” zone with nine extra-large seats with extra legroom and 93 standard seats, the company said.
The cost for these seats is €45 ($49 or Rs 4,050) for a one-way surcharge, and the surcharge for extra-large seats is €100 ($108 Rs 8,926).
Corendon Airways is not the first airline to introduce such innovations in its planes, but it is probably the first in the Netherlands.
