Meghan Trainor has opened up about the “nightmare” experience she had while pregnant with her second son, Barry.

The morning of Trainor’s meeting with Seacrest, she took a positive pregnancy test.

“That morning I was beaming with excitement and joy. I got it on video,” she recalled. “I was interviewed and they asked me, ‘How are you doing?’ and I said, ‘I’m doing great.’ I was so happy.”

Just minutes before the live broadcast with Seacrest was to begin, she noticed blood spurting out “enough to ruin the chair.”

“I’m like, ‘Oh, no,’ and they’re like, ‘OK, Ryan Seacrest is going to be on. Go ahead!'” she said.

Trainor managed to keep her cool while chatting to Seacrest, but once she switched off her computer she told her team: “I think I’m having a miscarriage.”

After getting up to go to the bathroom, she added, “I was like, ‘OK, I had a baby this morning and now I’m gone.’

After the incident, Trainor continued to take pregnancy tests, all of which came back positive. After blood tests and follow-up visits with her doctor, she learned she was 10 weeks pregnant, meaning her baby was conceived just before her Tonight Show appearance.

“It was terrifying, but then it was great,” she joked.

Traynor and Sabara welcomed their second son. BarryThey married in July last year and have a three-year-old son, Riley, together.

Trainor, who will kick off his Timeless Tour in Cincinnati, Ohio, this September, said he’s recently come to see Barry as “a little miracle.”

“Every time I see him I’m like, ‘Why is he here?'” she said.
