Hulu recently elected a replacement for Justin Roiland in the popular animated comedy series Solar Opposites. We see Dan Stevens doing the voice of the main character. Dan Stevens is best known for his roles in ‘Downton Abbey’, ‘Legion’ and ‘Gaslit’. The decision follows Roiland’s dismissal in January over allegations of domestic violence.
Stevens lends his voice to the character of Corvo, a moody, Earth-scorning alien. Corvo decides to repair his spaceship and escape to a new planet. Here we get a glimpse of Stevens as Corvo.
This will be Stevens’ second engagement with the show’s creators, 20th Television Animation. He has also appeared in the coming-of-age animated comedy Central Perk. Stevens’ credits in the animation industry include Max’s Prince and Netflix’s Kipo, Age of Wonders Beast. Stevens is the voice of Prince Charles in The Prince.
All 11 episodes of Season 4 of this Hulu series will be available on August 11th. A Valentine’s Day special is also planned for next year. To the delight of fans, the series received a renewal order for Season 5 last October.

Justin Roiland’s departure from Solar Opposites is linked to his departure from another popular show, Rick and Morty. Justin Roiland is the co-creator of Rick and Morty with Dan Harmon. Roiland terminated his contract with 20th Animation as a producer earlier this year. Warner Bros. Discovery is currently looking for actors to voice Rick and Morty.
As revealed by The Hollywood Reporter and other sources, Roiland’s career took a heavy hit following allegations of domestic violence and misbehavior coverage. Although the Orange County District Attorney dismissed his domestic violence charges for lack of evidence, Mr. Roiland has pleaded not guilty and believes the result is a form of “justice.”
Another show, “The Koalaman,” executive produced by Roiland, is also being considered by Hulu. The first season of the show, in which Roiland also voiced the character, aired in January.
