Tom Brady had a historic NFL career with the Patriots and Buccaneers that any NFL quarterback dreams of. He won three NFL MVP awards, seven Super Bowl championships, five Super Bowl MVP awards and set numerous records in the history of the league and the history of his two teams.
But for all his great accomplishments, Brady also has regrets about things he could have done differently during his time with the Patriots and Buccaneers.
Brady appeared on the Ryan Clark-hosted podcast “The Pivot,” He talks about his career Including successes and overall regrets.

Tom Brady admits career regrets
First, Tom Brady spoke about his love for the game at the pivot.
“I wouldn’t say I took the success for granted,” Brady said, “like when I was a player, I might have taken some wins for granted. I mean, the reason I fell in love with football is because of what you taught me on the show. It wasn’t to win a championship. I just love throwing the football.”
He then spoke about how he’s always put a lot of pressure on himself, especially as he’s become more successful: Winning is fun, but it’s hard to relax when the stress you’ve put on yourself to win that match is so great.
“As I got older, I enjoyed practice more than I enjoyed games because I had such high expectations for the games,” Brady said. “Nobody was watching at practice. I was able to have a little more fun. I was a little more carefree. Even later in my career, when I look back at myself, I always had a frown on my face. It was just me being so critical of myself.”

Brady’s highest level of intensity and determination have been staples of his career. With Brady, it was like clockwork that the Patriots would win double digits of games every season, win the division, and get a first-round berth. After the Buccaneers won the Super Bowl, everyone expected them to win every game the following season, and that’s exactly what happened for the most part. Breaking a franchise record They won 13 games that season.
We would see Brady occasionally argue with teammates with great passion or smash tablets, but that was the price he paid to unleash the determination he brought, whether it was the 28-3 comeback in Super Bowl 51 or when he came to Tampa and proved he could win a Super Bowl with the Buccaneers in his first season with the team.
Tom Brady’s Importance to the Buccaneers

Did Brady put too much pressure on himself? Only he knows the answer. But it’s fair to ask: would Brady have been as successful as he was if he hadn’t been the type of person he was? It was clearly a great career for Brady. There were moments of stress and he wishes he’d had a little more fun. Once he retires, he’ll be able to enjoy the fruits of his labor a little more.
“When you look at the young players, a guy like Patrick [Mahomes] “When I see myself running around as a quarterback and laughing and having fun, I think, ‘That’s what I used to do,'” Brady said. “I just got too serious, and now I look back and I’m like, ‘OK, if I did it again, which I’d never do again, I’d be different.’ But the reality is, I can’t do that.”
