Former President Donald Trump’s campaign has asked the White House to beef up Secret Service security due to security concerns in the final stages of the election, citing threats from Iran, Fox News has learned.
On Friday, President Biden was asked about the Republican candidate’s calls for stronger security protocols.
“Unless you ask for an F-15. Look, I told them to give him everything he needs as if he were a sitting president,” Biden said. “If it’s in that category, it’s fine.”
The Trump campaign cited a serious threat from Iran for additional protection. It called for temporarily restricting campaign airspace, convoy drivers with tactical experience, and vehicles like the Beast, a bulletproof vehicle used by Biden.

Rep. Mike Walz (R-Florida) sent a letter to Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin, Secretary of Homeland Security Alejandro Mayorkas, National Security Adviser Jake Sullivan, and Acting Director of the U.S. Secret Service, stating that Iran He warned that he was actively trying to kill President Trump.
Walz called on President Trump to provide a variety of aircraft, including not only C-17s and C-40s, but also military aircraft with defensive capabilities, in case of a missile attack.
The request comes after two failed assassination attempts against President Trump within weeks.
