Tom Cruise is on another mission, which involves jumping off a cliff on his motorcycle. Megan Wright of ‘Extra’ talks with the movie star at the New York premiere of ‘Mission: Impossible: Dead Reckoning Part 1’, discussing years of training on cliff-jumping stunts on a motorcycle and her favorite part of the series rice field. .
“Lots of training,” Tom said on Monday’s red carpet.
Cruise told “Extras” that this was one of the stunts he’d been preparing for since he was a kid.
“It’s something I’ve wanted to do for a long time. I had a terrible crash when I was a kid building a ramp and riding my bike out, but it was a lot of fun to do.”
Megan also asked if he knew that Tom’s “Mission: Impossible” running style was adored on the internet.
“No, no,” Tom replied with a laugh. “That’s good. That’s good.”
“Mission: Impossible Dead Reckoning Part 1” is the seventh installment in the “MI” movie series. When asked what was the most fun thing about this iconic action series, Tom couldn’t narrow it down to just one.
“It’s a lot of fun to make,” he said. “They’re so challenging. I love going to different places. I love the cast. We spend nights like this to come up with every aspect, the story and be able to share it with the audience.”
Cruise spoke enthusiastically to Wright about the cast.
“I have a lot of respect for them,” he said. “Working with people I really respect and care about, from the cast to the crew to everyone. All of this has been very special.”
Is it special? Tom recently hung out with Vin Diesel and Lewis Hamilton at an F1 event in Miami.
Tom said: I had a lot of fun that day. They are such good people that I like to see them do well. It was really nice. “
Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part 1 hits theaters on July 12th.
