Parade spectators lined up for shade as marching bands, vintage cars, floats, dancers and the Jessie White tumbling team marched through the streets on the 4th of July parade route in Skokie.
Dancers from the Niles North High School dance team, Vicketts and Dance Force, stopped in front of the judging stand on Oakton Street near Oakton Park to perform.
The Trojan Guard Marching Band of Chesterton High School in Chesterton, Indiana and the Colt Cadets of Dubuque, Iowa were among the marching bands.
