Where did the phrase “Sir, this is Wendy’s” come from?

The meme format was first used in a 2011 tweet by @ethanhunter referring to the fast food restaurant chain Arby’s.

It may have been an episode that made Wendy’s a favorite place. office The title is “Chair Model”. Fan favorite Michael Scott (played by Steve Carell) receives a Wendy’s restaurant number as a prank after asking for potential dates. When he called, it was a Wendy’s, not a Hot Lady, and the employee replied, “No, this is a Wendy’s restaurant.”

There was also a popular Reddit comic set in a real-life Wendy’s created by cartoonist SrGrafo. He posted it to /r/comics in 2019 under the title “Airport Security.”

According to know your memethe comment on the post “Sir, this is Wendy’s” received so many upvotes that SrGrafo added a panel to the original containing that phrase. He later shared another cartoon featuring a Wendy’s cashier, which became a meme using the phrase and was first edited by Redditor Desnof117.
