Why Tom Brady failed as a parent

tom brady When it comes to my experience as a parent, I don’t hold back.

You probably already know that the legendary former NFL player is the parent of three children. They are Jack, 17, Benjamin, 15, and Vivian, 11.

Speaking at the Fortune Global Forum earlier this month (via Eh! news), Tom reflected on his own experiences as a parent and his perceived shortcomings.

“Being a parent is probably the most difficult job for all of us,” he told the audience. “And we’ve made a lot of mistakes, and I’ve made a lot of mistakes as a parent.”

Later in the event, Tom spoke about Jack’s own sporting ambitions, admitting: “As a boy, being Tom Brady’s son sucks in a lot of ways.”

“Unfortunately, he jumps as high as I do,” Tom said. “But I tell him, ‘Hey, you’re going to be a stallion.'” I said, “Hey, you’re going to be a stallion.” “Wait until it hits its growth spurt. It’ll jump higher and become Dunkin’.”

Tom also stressed the importance of being “reliable and consistent” for children and being there for them when they need it.

“My children will naturally face their own challenges and they will have to find ways to overcome them as well, and I will support them just as I would my parents. And I’m going to learn along with them along the way.”

Parents, how have you struggled and how have you adjusted your behavior to be more supportive? Let us know in the comments!
