A recent report by Korean publication Chosun Biz (via @Tech_Reve) revealed that Samsung’s patent application was discovered on the Korea Intellectual Property Information Service (KIPRIS) website.

This application was filed to patent AI technology that can generate document summaries through Samsung Gauss. It’s worth mentioning that Gauss is Samsung’s proprietary large-scale language model (LLM) and plays a central role in Galaxy AI.

According to the report, this particular technology will enhance the functionality of summarization. Users can request the AI ​​to generate summaries in a specific style, such as “short and neutral” or “long and negative in tone.”

In an example shared from a patent, the AI ​​was asked to summarize an article on “Korea-US Summit Agenda” using the prompt “Please summarize briefly and neutrally.” The results yielded neutral summaries containing keywords such as “North Korea, nuclear weapons, missiles, South Korea-US military exercises.”

The report, citing anonymous insiders familiar with the matter, suggests that upcoming Samsung Gauss and Document Summary AI features could be integrated into Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 6 and Galaxy Z Fold 6 models, possibly in 2016. hints that it will debut at the Unpacked event. July.
