Following a series of major attacks against Hezbollah in September and the assassination of Hassan Nasrallah, Israel launched an invasion of southern Lebanon on October 1. The airstrikes and destruction coincide with an escalation in the conflict between Israel and Hezbollah, and the ongoing Israeli-Hamas war.

As the humanitarian crisis continues to grip the Middle East, Hollywood actor Javier Bardem has broken his silence on Israel’s inhumane actions and accused the country of committing heinous crimes against humanity. In a video shared on his Instagram, Bardem said: What is happening in Gaza is completely unacceptable, horrific and dehumanizing. ”

He added: “I believe the Israeli government is the most radical government in Israel’s history. The Israeli government has committed crimes against humanity and is contrary to international law, which is being investigated by the International Criminal Court. This is clearly a heinous and reprehensible government.” The brutal attack by Hamas on October 1 does not justify the massive punishment endured by the Palestinian people. ”

Marvel star Mark Ruffalo reshared Bardem’s speech in X and praised his courage to speak out about ongoing atrocities. “Thank you Javier Bardem for your courtesy, courage and love for all humanity. You are a beacon of light, Amigo,” he wrote.

Javier Bardem emphasized that we cannot remain indifferent to what is happening in Gaza.
