We are in the Lancaster County Administration Building, where the elections office is located. The machine you see behind me is his one of the machines used here to open ballots. The Shapiro administration announced that it is a national project to harness light and solar energy, also known as PA Pulse. In 2025 the Federation will be able to get 50% of its energy from sunlight. Ten of the solar arrays are located in six counties, including York County. The governor says it’s not just the planet that will benefit from the plan. This is a big deal. That means better-paying jobs for Pennsylvanians, more reliable and affordable power for the commonwealth, and reduced carbon emissions that directly contribute to climate change. And the Shapiro administration says PA PULSE will reduce federal carbon emissions by more than 157,000 tons of CO2 per year, the equivalent of 34,000 gasoline-powered cars. The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation has lane restrictions in place Monday night on southbound Interstate 83 between Exits 24 and 28 in York County. PennDOT says the restrictions will be in place from 9 p.m. to midnight. This will allow contractors to repair the concrete plinth of the southbound I-83 bridge over Little Conewago Creek at Mile 26.5.
