Congresswoman Anna Paulina Luna (R-Fla.) has announced that she is pregnant with her first child. This made her historically one of the few female MPs to have given birth while serving in Congress.
“We are so excited to welcome our son later this summer,” Luna told Time.
Luna, who is currently serving her first term in Congress, has revealed that her summer baby is due in late August.

“The children are a blessing and we couldn’t have asked for a better gift,” she said in the announcement.

Many women have served in Congress over the years, but Luna becomes the 12th woman to give birth while in office.
The August dates coincided with Congress’ annual summer vacation, June and July to “attend a lot of sessions,” and August to spend time with newborns to “avoid panic attacks.” Give. Added.

The Republican was first elected to represent Florida’s 13th congressional district in the 2022 midterm elections. She is married to Andy Gambersky, whom she met while serving in the U.S. Air Force.
