Karen Reed is the beautiful Boston queen accused of killing police boyfriend John O’Keefe, and is said to have driven him in a car during a snowstorm after a drunken night in town.
The aired trial created a new Mega True Crime Star, unfolding in front of the public, splitting the watchers into the middle.
After nine weeks of trial and five days of deliberation, the ju judges were unable to make a verdict.
Karen did not testify, but she is now speaking out in her own defense in “Body in the Snow: The Trial of Karen Reed.”
In the document, Karen states, “I didn’t drive the car to John, I didn’t turn it around, I didn’t attack John with my car.”
When asked if it might have been her accident, she said, “There’s no chance this was an accident.”
Coach Terry Dunn-Meurer received unprecedented access to Karen and her defense team in real time as the trial unfolded.
She said, “Extra,” “I’ve never heard of such access, so three weeks later the crew and I were in Boston and we were just starting filming.”
Dunn-Meurer added: “It’s very rare. I think the documentary crew sees being allowed to follow the defendant and his defense team through trial.”
When the case went to the ju court, Terry said: There was no task at hand that she could focus on. ”
Readings are scheduled to be retried later this spring.
