Paris Hilton and Nicole Richie reunite for a new three-part special, “Paris & Nicole: The Encore.”
“Extra” spoke to the women about reuniting 20 years after “The Simple Life,” why the timing was right, and how they’ve both changed.
Paris said, “Nicole and I have been asked many times to do things like this and reunite, and we just thought it was perfect timing because it was all on our 20th anniversary.”th It’s our anniversary, and I thought it would be really fun to celebrate it together. ”
Richie talked about how the reunion happened, saying, “When we decided to do this reunion, Paris came over and we ate tacos and hung out at the house. We were all sweaty. It was just us…so we started talking about, “Well, let’s have a class reunion.” I think now is the time to do it. [one]. What would that be like? This is how this reunion came about. ”
Nicole said they have changed “a lot” since “The Simple Life.” she said: “I’ve become more mature, albeit little by little. I’m a mother… Life goes in all directions, so a lot of things have changed.”
Hilton said: “I’ve definitely learned a lot about myself. I’ve grown so much as a person and now that I’m a mother of two years younger, I feel like I’ve lived a very full and exciting life… I am very proud of who I am now.”
Some people watched The Simple Life and thought they were “dumb blondes,” but Nicole and Paris have built an empire and are killing it with their lives.
Paris said, “This is entertainment. At the end of the day, we know exactly what we’re doing and we wanted it to be fun.”
Nicole said: “We wanted to make people laugh. That was part of the gig.”
Hilton and Richie both became mothers, but they competed over who was stricter with their children and who was more indulgent.
Nicole commented, “Now that my kids are older, there may be more rules, but I don’t know if I’m too strict.”
Paris added: “My children are so young that it’s hard to be strict at their age.”
When asked which one spoils the child more, Nicole replied: Teenagers and babies have different needs. ”
Ritchie said “everything is everything” if children want to follow in their footsteps, adding: “I think your 20s are a time to really have adventures and do things you might not be able to do later in life.” He explained.
Paris and Nicole also shared what they love most about each other, with Paris calling Nicole a “gorgeous, kind and funny legend.”
“She’s so fun and gorgeous and makes me laugh,” Nicole said of Paris, adding, “I love her cleavage.”
“I love you!” Paris declared.
“Paris & Nicole: The Encore” will premiere on “Peacock” on December 12th.
