For all the hi-fi audio lovers out there, Netflix is addition Spatial audio support to premium plans. Spatial audio is now accessible in over 700 titles, including popular titles like Stranger Things, Wednesday, and Knives Out Glass Onion. Netflix is introducing a “spatial audio” icon to help customers easily identify movies and TV shows that support this technology.
Netflix Spatial Audio delivers a rich, cinematic sound experience on any device without the need for additional equipment. Netflix’s premium plans already give you access to enhanced Dolby Atmos audio (on compatible hardware) and his 4K resolution and HDR/Dolby Vision on TVs and monitors that can display these features. I’m here.
Another new feature in today’s Netflix Premium plan is the ability to download shows and movies to up to 6 devices (previously 4) at once. With a Netflix Premium account, you can stream videos on up to 4 devices simultaneously.
It’s encouraging to see Netflix introduce new features to its Premium plans after introducing its cheapest Basic with Ads plan last fall. If not restricted to the premium tier, Netflix hopes all speakers will support spatial audio, convincing more users to upgrade.
Netflix has also begun outlining plans to limit password sharing. The company uses IP addresses, device IDs, and account activity to identify devices in the home and force non-family members to authenticate their gadgets regularly.
