Washingtonians have made the first really difficult roster decision of the spring. They are option Four prominent players, DJ Herz, Nasim Nunez and Drew Millas, are the island of ogasawara.

The relegation of the two pitchers is particularly noteworthy as it seals Mitchell Parker’s position as fifth starter. Once in camp, the hoodies are considered the sexiest option, Hertz is a popular breakout pick, and Ogasawara is the first Japanese import of Nut.

However, Parker Out threw both this spring. Ogasawara was not fooled by anyone and Herz couldn’t throw a strike, but Parker did him. In 12.1 innings he put out a 3.65 ERA. His reliability made him an easy choice for spinning.

I love the benefits of DJ Hertz and still do it after this spring, but he didn’t sell well enough. My position is to give Hertz a job unless he gives the team a reason. Hertz’s rough spring gave the team a reason not to give him a job.

On the offensive side, Nasimnunes’ relegation was a slight surprise. He hit very well this spring and was always a sleek defender with shortstops. However, NAT should want to give him every day with a bat.

In particular, Andrew Knizner will remain at the Big Club. That is, I’m mixing with Riley Adams for my backup catcher job. The fight for the final bench spot comes down to Jose Tena and Juan Jepes. Mike Rizzo made many big decisions today, but the roster for the glove is still up.
