Bob Carpenter has been a fixture in the lives of Washington Nationals fans since 2006. It’s probably assumed that Bob is the only playguy in Nat’s history. However, he was 72 years old announcement Yesterday, this will be his final season at the booth. See you later, we wish you all the best progress.

We felt pretty good that this had been coming for a while. Bob has been lightweight in workloads in recent years. This feels like a new era of time for broadcast booths, as the Nationals are likely to move from Masn.

As the season unfolds, we remember Bob’s career and look back at some of his biggest calls. Bob was the epitome of Cole’s consistency. He wasn’t particularly a screamer, but it didn’t have to be. He has a very great voice and immeasurable knowledge of games for television.

I hope Bob maintains some abilities. This is his scorebook. They became equipment for his online presence. He hasn’t seen all the Nats games in the future, but I hope he can see some of his online scorebooks!

Hopefully, Natt honors Bob in the way he deserves. He is truly a franchise legend and deserves to be in the circle of honor. Children like me grew up hanging from all his words and now I’m still very grateful to Bob.

It will be interesting to see what they are doing in the booth as Nats head towards a greener meadow than Masn. Will it be the Dan Corco/Kevin Fransen booth or do you see a new face? We have plenty of time to discuss it, but we’ll see you Bob later!
