Actor Mickey Rourke left the “Celebrity Big Brother UK” home after numerous incidents, including “cases of inappropriate language and unacceptable behavior.” Variety Report.
“Mickey Rourke has agreed to leave Celebrity Big Brother’s home tonight following discussion with Big Brother about further use of inappropriate language and cases of unacceptable behavior,” a show spokesman said Saturday.
Earlier this week, the “Sin City” star, 72, found a statement of homophobia and sexism that she made to fellow lesbian contestant JoJo Siwa.
Rourke told her that she could change her mind about being gay, so about wrinkles, “I really want to vote for lesbians right away.”
Siwa overhears it and informs him, “If that’s your reasoning, it’s homophobic.”
He also called cigarettes a gay slur (as it is commonly referred to in the UK), joking to Wrinkle, “I’m not about you.”
Rourke was given a harsh warning to his language and agreed to wipe out his actions.
The straw that broke the camel’s back was reportedly a disagreement between Rourke and his housemate. Things didn’t turn out physically, but Rourke (former boxer) used “threatening and aggressive” language.
After getting used to the wrinkles, Rourke said he was sorry. “I apologize, there is no dishonorable intention,” he insisted. “I’m just talking about Smack. You know. I didn’t take it all that seriously. I didn’t mean any bad intentions. If so, I’m sorry.”
ITV foresees his final departure and in a statement at the time, “All housemates have been respectful and comprehensive training and have received extensive briefings from the senior ‘Big Brother’ team to prepare to live in the home and express “Big Brother’s’ expectations for proper action and language.”
Rourke’s most famous films include Diner (1982), Wild Orchid (1989), The Wrestler (2008), and Iron Man 2 (2010).
