Selena Gomez stars with Steve Martin and Martin Short in Hulu’s Only Murders in the Building. As such, detectives didn’t have to assume that she would appear in her stint hosting the duo’s “Saturday Night Her Live.”
And she did! The actress and singer appeared at the end of the pair’s opening monologue. “Marty didn’t want cremation. Too late!” Martin joked, for example.
Martin ended with the words, “With Marty gone, who can I work with?”
“What about me?” Gomez said, surprising the audience with a cameo.
Martin and Short are certainly a dynamic duo, but recently they’ve been a great trio with Gomez. Gomez also appeared in a later sketch impersonating Martin and Shortstar’s “Father of the Bride”, along with Kieran Culkin (yes, he was in the original).

They also said they are currently working on a third season of “Only Murders in the Building.”
