The second season of Loki is set to hit Disney+ screens on October 6th. A new trailer hints at an interesting continuation of the Marvel Studios series. But there is no escape from the specter of Jonathon Major. We say this in light of both his notoriety within the series and the legal issues he faces in the real world.
Marvel fans were introduced to the majors in the first season of Loki as “He Who Remains,” a variant of Khan the Conqueror. Kang is set to play a defining role in his saga in the MCU’s upcoming Avengers. The Marvel series Loki has changed a lot since its first season, with the exception of Major’s formidable presence as Big Bad.
The second season trailer revealed that Loki caused a lot of trouble through his actions of destroying the sacred timeline. The God of Mischief has “slipped back in time” and there is no quick fix. Even the Time Variance Authority repair specialist, played by Ke Huy Quan, is unable to help Loki.

To add to Loki’s problems, his friend Moebius (played by Owen Wilson) seems to have lost all memory of Loki. His lover Sylvie, played by Sofia Di Martino, has mixed feelings about the timeline tampering. Above all, the Multiverse faces an army of subspecies of Karn the Conqueror.
Jonathan Majors’ involvement in Season 2 was hinted at in the post-credits scene of Ant-Man & the Wasp: Quantumanias, the MCU’s theatrical debut. A scene featuring his Kang variant, Victor Timely, also briefly appears in Loki’s trailer.

Marvel has yet to comment on the controversy surrounding Jonathan Majors. The studio has Kang as the main villain in a good portion of its upcoming theatrical release schedule, including Loki’s second season.
