“Abbott Elementary”‘s Lisa Ann Walter and William Stanford Davis chat with “Extra’s” Melvin Roberts at the 55th NAACP Image Awards.
Lisa was thrilled to receive William’s award, saying: “Every interview I do, people ask me what I’m looking forward to and I say, ‘hugging and kissing William Stanford Davis.’ Because I’m so happy and happy that this guy won this award.” Recognized… He’s my neighbor and my soccer watching partner. ”
Walter also talked about Bradley Cooper’s cameo appearance on “Abbott Elementary.”
“It was exciting for me. I was a little dizzy,” she admitted, giggling as she tried to talk to him, adding, “I was stupid, I was stupid.”
William argued, “We all was. “
Lisa said Quinta Branson suggested a take where her character, Melissa, asks Bradley, “What are you doing here?” But things didn’t go as planned.
“I tried it, and it was.” [giggling], ‘What are you doing here? ‘Then I texted her later and said, “It’s just Lisa getting dizzy.” It was the actor’s choice, but it wasn’t even a minute before she started talking about sex with a stick. ”
The two teased the rest of the “Abbott” season, with William saying the upcoming guest stars “will knock your socks off.”
Lisa said it’s “even better” compared to season one. Better. ”
“Abbott Elementary” airs every Wednesday at 9 p.m. on ABC.
