Michelle Randolph rose to prominence in “Landman.”
Extra’s Melvin Roberts spoke with Michelle, who plays Billy Bob Thornton’s daughter Ainsley in this drama about oil, sex and money.
Michelle praised her work with Billy Bob and Ali Larter, saying, “They’re both really great people. I love them. We shot in Texas for about five months, and I think… We spent so much time together, in the best sense of the word…It was just fun to share scenes with them.”
Randolph has great memories, including having a beer with Thornton. She said, “With Billy, you can drink a lot of Bud Light. He drinks Bud Light like water.”
Michelle was hand-picked by creator Taylor Sheridan after starring in the Yellowstone prequel series 1923, which also starred Helen Mirren and Harrison Ford.
She said: “Booking 1923 was like the greatest experience of my life and working with Helen Mirren was very special.”
Regarding what she likes about her character, Randolph said, “I overthink everything in life, and she’s the exact opposite.”
“Landman” is now available on Paramount+.
