Sean “Diddy” Combs’ trial was delayed.
The trial was originally scheduled to begin on May 5th, but was pushed a week later. It is currently scheduled to start on May 12th.
The news comes a week after Diddy was accused of using physical violence and forced labor against his employees in a new modest indictment.
Diddy pleaded not guilty to the new claim.
The modest indictment alleges Diddy and his peers “maintained control over certain employees of the Combs business, who were forced to work long hours with most sleep, through the use of physical force, psychological harm, financial harm and/or the same threat.
According to the indictment, employees felt that they would be threatened with unemployment and harm if they did not follow their requests.
The indictment alleges that physical strength and threats were used to force employees to “engage in sexual acts” with rap moguls.
In response to the transaction lawsuit, Diddy’s lawyer Mark Agnifilo said in a statement to “Extra,” “Mr.”. Combs says it before and says it again: he vigorously denies the accusation by SDNY. He looks forward to making it clear that no one has ever forced him to engage in sexual acts against his will. Many former employees stand by his side, preparing to prove their dedication, hard work and inspiration, helping them build groundbreaking and award-winning businesses. ”
In January, prosecutors filed a charge claiming that Combs and his associates used his “power and fame” to blackmail the victim “by pretending to be a romantic relationship” and seducing them to engage in sexual activity.
The indictment accused comb of reacting vigorously with “multiple” temptation of an invitation when his authority was challenged by an employee, witness or other people.
The indictment added, “On multiple occasions, Combs threw both objects and people, hitting, dragging, suffocating and pushing others.”
Agnifilo responded to the charges, saying “Extra,” “the latest charges do not include any new crimes.” The prosecution’s theory remains flawed. The government added a ridiculous theory that two of Combs’ ex-girlfriends are prostitutes rather than girlfriends. Combs is just as committed to fighting these charges and winning the trial. ”
In a federal complaint starting in September, Diddy was charged with assault, conspiracy, sex trafficking and transporting to engage in prostitution.
Docs argued that Diddy “using power, threats of power and coercion to allow victims to engage in extended sexual acts with male commercial sex workers, particularly known as “Freak Offs.”
Combs pleaded not guilty to all charges.
While awaiting trial, the Combs team accused CNN of destroying original surveillance video of Diddy’s physical attack on Ex Cassie Ventura at a Los Angeles hotel in 2016.
According to the Combs team, the video has been changed and reported TMZ“The written and oral communication with CNN’s attorneys was clear. They destroyed the original video files they received from their sources.”
CNN “denies allegations that CNN did not modify the video and did not destroy the original copy of the footage held by the source. CNN aired the story about the video several months before Combs was arrested.”
Upon request, federal prosecutors told the judge on Friday there were two videos of beatdowns, including recordings of the original footage and recordings of the CNN version.
As the video may play a key role in court, it is not surprising that there are many times when it is possible to be shown to the ju judge.
