On Monday night, Katy Perry was unable to attend the 2024 Met Gala.
Although she couldn’t make it, someone created an AI version of Perry at the star-studded event.
The AI version of Katie also wore a floral ballgown, a nod to this year’s theme, “The Garden of Time,” which was inspired by the exhibition “Sleeping Beauties: Reawakening Fashion.”
Another AI photo showed Perry wearing a leafy skirt and corset.
Perry posted a photo of the A.I. writing Instagram: “I couldn’t go to the Met, so I had to work.”
Katie also posted a text message exchange with her mother who was fooled by the AI photo.
In a message, Perry’s mother said, “I didn’t know you went to the Metropolitan Museum of Art. What a gorgeous dress, you love the Rose Parade, you’re your own float lol.”
Katie replied, “LOL, my mom got killed by the AI too, be careful!”
Perry also posted a video of herself in the recording studio, hinting that perhaps new music was the reason she was unable to attend the gala.
Extra interviewed Perry last week, but he remained mum about his plans for the Met Gala. When asked if she would go, she commented, “I’ll have to see if I go or not.”
Perry didn’t have to film “American Idol” on Monday night, so many people expected him to go.
