Julie Bowen, who played lovely mom Claire Dunphy on Modern Family for 11 seasons, is playing a different type of mom in the horror series Hysteria!
“Extra” interviewed Julie, who called the role “a break from Claire.”
She admitted, “That’s probably what drew me to it.”
In the show, Julie plays a picture-perfect housewife in a small town reeling from the disappearance of its star quarterback, but she soon discovers that her son may have something to do with it. I begin to wonder. ”
Julie was initially hesitant about playing another mother, but that changed. She explained: “By the end of the first episode, you realize that this mother is different from other mothers, and it drives you crazy.”
It’s been several years since Modern Family ended, but Julie still receives a lot of love from fans. She said: “I’m so lucky to be able to walk down the street and have people tell me they love me, they love Claire, they love Modern Family.”
As Halloween approaches, does Julie have any plans with the kids? She replied: “My kids used to be really into it. One of my favorite costumes is Captain Underpants. I was Captain Underpants…I used to make elaborate costumes and stuff, and I was scared. No part, thank you. I don’t care.”
