“Vanderpump Rules” star James Kennedy was arrested on Tuesday on misdemeanor domestic violence charges, and now his defense team is speaking out.
“We are conducting our own investigation into the charges brought against James by the Burbank Police Department,” the law firm of Scott E. Leamon told Extra in a statement.
The statement continued: “It is our understanding that there were no injuries, and we hope that after careful consideration, the city’s attorney will decide not to file formal charges.”

Law enforcement officials say police were called to a home in Burbank, Calif., on a report of an altercation between a man and a woman.
TMZ reported that witnesses claim Kennedy grabbed the woman at one point. Police found no obvious injuries on the woman’s body.
Officers believed it was a domestic incident and arrested the reality star.
Sources told TMZ that James was released on $20,000 bail. The site added that the Burbank City Attorney’s Office is reviewing the case.
Kennedy and his girlfriend Allie Lubar, who he has been dating since January 2022, attended a holiday party at Kathy Hilton’s home that night.
