Gal Gadot was shocked by the 2004 Miss Israel success.
The 38-year-old actress won beauty pageant crowns before becoming a Hollywood star, but Gal now claims she didn’t really take the event “too seriously” at all.
The brunette beauty, who has 11-year-old Alma, 6-year-old Maya, and 2-year-old Daniela with husband Jaron Varsano, said during an appearance on Hot Ones: “When I went to Miss Israel, first of all, I went to experience it, so I could tell her grandchildren about my grandma…and it was shocking that I won. did.
“I wasn’t going to win. I came here to have fun, and then suddenly – funny, you’re 18 and you don’t take things too seriously. The only thing I enjoyed was the opening dance scene.”
Meanwhile, Gal previously confessed that being a mother is much harder than acting.
The ‘Heart of Stone’ star explained that becoming a mother is the ‘hardest thing’ to do in life.
She told E! News: “The most difficult role is definitely being a mom, but it’s also the most rewarding.”
Gal actually learned some valuable parenting lessons from her Red Notice co-star Ryan Reynolds and his wife Blake Lively.
“Ryan and Blake are both very smart entrepreneurs, great friends, good people and positive people,” she said.
“He fully shared what he needed and the process he went through, and I am very, very pleased with their success.”
Despite her own success, Gal never actually planned to become an actress.
She explained: “I was in law school, studying and working as a model. A casting director came from London to Israel looking for a ‘Bond’ girl, saw my card on the agency’s bulletin board and told me I said I want to meet you.”
“That was my first experience in the world of acting, and I fell in love with it. One thing led to another and here I am.”
