A woman is facing criminal charges after allegedly trying to take an intoxicated toddler into Cinderella Castle.

Guest arrested on the way to Cinderella Castle

According to an arrest report released by the Orange County Sheriff’s Office, suspect Susan Simary, 36, of Michigan, arrived at the Transportation and Ticket Center in an Uber on June 3.

According to the report, the Uber driver became concerned because Simary appeared “highly intoxicated” and called over an off-duty sheriff’s deputy.

According to the report, officers found Simary pushing a wheelchair with a toddler in it.

“I immediately detected a distinct, persistent odor of an alcoholic beverage emanating from the female’s person, which became stronger the more she spoke,” the deputy wrote in the arrest report. “The female was unsteady on her feet and unsteady. She slurred her words when speaking and had to be asked to repeat herself multiple times. The female stated that she was taking her daughter to the princess’ castle.”

The report further states that “another deputy dispatched a Disney security manager due to concerns about the female’s level of intoxication and the safety of the children.”

Authorities repeatedly asked Simary to contact the ride-sharing company to help him leave the park.

She refused and instead began recording on her cell phone.

Officers handcuffed her and escorted her to a nearby patrol car.

Simary tried to stop him from moving, the report said.

“As I walked in front of the pole, she raised her left foot and put it against the pole. [sic] “I attempted to prevent her from stopping to walk. I removed her left foot from the post and she wrapped her right foot around a plastic post to keep her from moving,” the arrest report states. “Once I removed her feet from the post, I began walking her to the patrol car where she continued to stop walking.”

Sheriff’s Office deputies arrested her on charges of disorderly intoxication, resisting an officer without violence and trespassing on premises after a warning.

Simary pleaded not guilty last month, according to Orange Circuit Court records.

She is being represented by the Public Defender’s Office. Her lawyer did not respond to a request for comment.

When Simary was arrested, her infant child was turned over to the Florida Department of Children and Families, according to the sheriff’s report.
